    A little Lightning fun...

So there's this white Lightning that runs around Mesquite. In fact it even says that on his tailgate: White Lightning. I'm not sure what year it is, Virgil might know, he's probably seen it running around. Anyway, we come up to a light at the same time on Beltline Rd. The light turns and we both took off pretty good, not full throttle, but both at a pretty good clip. He sees I'm moving pretty good and vice-cersa, so we both go WOT at pretty much the exact same time. I figured he'd trounce me being supercharged but we're staying even for a bit. As my truck downshifts to 1st I can hear his supercharger winding up and he starts pulling on me just a smidge, then he hits 2nd gear and lags a little bit - I've still got some 1st left and we're dead even again. Then we both see the nose of a police cruiser at the intersection and both do a nose-dive. Sure enough he's just staring at us. The Lightning makes a right turn by him and I keep going straight. Thankfully he doesn't follow. Anyway, it was a good run in my book. Curious how it would have turned out...

And whats the reason you can't get better times out of that truck? I mean it seems to run really good. Great run Moze. Made ya feel good huh?

Because he has too big of a cam for his stall, or too small of a stall for his cam however you want to look at it.

Well my best run of 14.8 was with a bad fuel pump, smaller cam, and the bad knock sensor. So hopefully I'll see better numbers Friday. If not, I quit...lol.

That would work for me - I think it's a low 14 second truck, just can't seem to convince the truck of that...lol

Good run at it Moze! I know your truck will not disappoint this weekend. It sounds like you've got the bugs worked out...the only thing that may hurt you is the hot weather we will have this weekend. And typically, a "street start" yields slower times than a dig...so maybe your truck is quicker than you think... Hopefully you will get a chance to run Mr. White Lightning again...
