Need a little help...

Well...a few weeks ago I got into some bad...really bad gas...truck ran like hell for a while..sputtered..wanted to die..all that...i put some premium in ontop of it...ran it out a couple times now...was doing good til a couple days ago and my light came back on....luckily i got my aeroforce guage the other day and checked it...showing the P0300 Random misfire code...should i pull the plugs to see if their fouled?....or do i need to look elsewhere....im gonna change my fuel filter too...lucky for me its an 04 and in the tank...yay for me....im thinking about getting a lowering kit to since im gonna pull the bed off...haha....anyway....if its not the plugs...what do you think?...if it is?....whats a good replacement?...Thanks guys

Bad gas should not make the plugs to go bad. They may need to be removed, cleaned with a wire brush, then reinstalled. But make sure you look closely at the plugs. If you think they need to be replaced, they probably do. Replace them with the NGK TR-55 plugs at about .045 gap. They recommend .060, but it will spark better at .045... Also, the filter may need replacing. If you do go ahead and take the bed off, make sure you replace other stuff as well. You may wanna go with a Walbro 255l/ph fuel pump while you are at it...

There have been a number of news reports about gas stations putting water in their tanks - I guess they&#39;re taking a hit too. Anyway, there&#39;s a kit you can use to quickly tell if there&#39;s water in the gas. Might want to look into that...
