    Red face

Will a 4L60E mount behind a 6.0L? If it will, how long do you think it will last.
Will a radix from a 5.3 fit on the 6.0?

As long as you get an '01+ motor with the shorter crank it will bolt up. The 6.0 mill is pretty strong stock...if you got an assembled long block I'd consider upgrading the rod bolts and if money allows some forged pistons.

Your weak point will be the 4L60E, as long as you have the stock Radix tuning it'll be okay for a while but still be weak. Depending on how much power you plan to make, you may want to consider a 4L80E

I just put a LQ9 6L with the TR224 cam in front of a 60E, did it hold up, ya kind of, lol, but man does it need some attention. His 2nd gear is acting funny and it's probably not going to hold up.
I'm guessing it's has about 400hp easily at the crank.

Myself and the owner are heading over to the dyno this wednesday for some numbers. I've been waiting to do this, just need to get some time and nail the owner down, he's busy too.

The radix will fit, all the gen III engines are interchangeable, just like the old days.

so what do you have in mind?

Yep, should bolt right up. The escalades have a the 4L65E behind the LQ9.

I'm thinking all forged parts:crank, rods ,pistons.
The cam i dont know, what ever will work with the radix.
Might try to find a 4L80 somewere around here.
I think I found a good deal on a 6.0,but whats the differance
    between the LQ9 and LQ4?
All of this will have to wait till after Uncle Sam reams me out.

    thanks, scott

Are you planning to stroke it? If so, Eagle is coming out with some nice inexpensive kits here soon.

If not, the stock crank is made of steel...not gonna break. Good to 700rwhp easy. The stock rods could be reused if they are balanced, resized, and fitted w/ ARP bolt. But a good set of H-beams are cheap insurance.

4L80E's have been produced since the early 1990s...1991 is when exactly. There have been revisions. 91-96; 97-98; 99+ Obviously the 99+ is going to be better...valve body, manual band, etc. It is more desireable but will cost probably a tad more.

LQ4 is the LO version; LQ9 is the HO version.
