Hey, somewhere here I read about the Z06 MAS. Will it be a direct fit on the Gen II Engines? I guess, Going and measureing will solve this one, But does anybody know what the diameter is, and what electrical plug it reqiures? I would like to know, as I am researching one for my `97 5.0, Eventually it will become a LS1 or even an LS6.

No, on a 97,98, and the early 99 vortec trucks, the Z06 MAF will not work. We already tried on my friends 98. The plug is different. You maybe able to rig it with a different plug. You may ask Allen.

The MAF you have now is 83mm and the ZO6 is a 85mm. But you maybe able to fit it, I've never tried. On the 97 you have a cold air plug in front of the MAF also.I could be wrong!!
