    DART IS MAKING A GENIII BLOCK WITH A GENI ROTATING ASSB. IT WILL ACCEPT GENIV HEADS, AND A DISTRIBUTOR. I GUESS THEY JUST WANT TO BE DIFFERENT. TALK ABOUT A STRANGE SETUP?

    Gm has released now 4 styles of the small block 1st gen would be the original 302/327/350 them they had the TPI and vortec era which would be gen 2 and then the 4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0 which are gen 3 and now the the ls7/ls2 style new engines which are gen 4.

    I was wrong about the LT5, it&#39;s a different engine altogether. However I was dead on about the LT1/4

    the way i read it is that the 4.8, 5.3 & 6.0 are gen 3
