I have a 2000 GMC 2500 excab short bed 4x4 with a lq4 6.0l.it has cast iron heads,I got a set of ls6 243 heads and a set of ls2 rods and pistons for an 06 vette with 3100 miles on them.what cam do you think I should go with,I was thinking of a ls6 or a ls2 cam.I don't want anything big that needs a converter.will I need injectors.I know I'll need a retune. I'm open to any other ideas.

    Thanks

Just going off of what you listed, I'd say a 224/224 cam will work great! The ls6 cam is a very nice upgrade, but for something like your setup, I'd say a 224 cam.

allen told me to go with a 114 lsa and add+4 degrees ,does any one know if this means a custom cam or can I just advance the timing chain +4.I have found the cam and I'm ready to order it but its 114 lsa and I need to know.
    Thanks

    Cool

Just advancing the chain plays with all the valve events. Getting it custom ground shouldn't.
