i have a 6.0 out of a 01 truck, that i am putting in my rock crawler. I will be stroking the motor out to a 408 but dont know when (but hopefully soon ), i just want to get the truck up and running (still have alot of other stuff besides the motor to worry about) The intake on my motor is huge as in tall on my motor as most of you probably know, and is causing me some clearance problems with my suspension. So can i swap over a LS1 or LS2 intake (which in my mind has to be lower profile than mine) Or will the FAST intakes give me a little more clearance? mine has a mechanical throttle cable, no drive by wire stuff. Thanks for any help.

I have the same question - I've put a 6.0 from a '04 2500 in my '67 Pickup and don't like the apperance of the manifold. It has too many unnessesary "bumps and warts". Is there another better looking GM manifold that will work with a fly by wire system?

You can swap them out. You'll have to twist the upper radiator pipe out of the way to clear the throttle.
