if you want good gains then go cam. if you want cheap and easy install with little gains then go c.a.i.

Agree, not going to see much out of the c.a.i. you should do the cam

Is that a TBI unit? I spend crazy money trying to make my '88 fast (read cam, overbore, Holley injection, headers, 4.10's, etc). it was quick for what it was, but no comparision to today's motor. I would put a shot of nitrous on it, cheaper and more power.

Once it craters, then transplant a Gen III/IV motor.

Same here, and it was a HUGE waste of money. I learned my lesson on that truck. Spray it and be happy.

If you're dead set on a cam, I had good results with the Crane 2030. Bump up the fuel pressure, and do the tbi mods from thirdgen.org
