You'll need:

Front Spindles
CV Shafts
Front Differential
Front and rear drieshafts
Transmission case (if 4l60e)
If you have torsion bars this should be all you need. If not, then I imagine you would need a trosion bar crossmember and 2 torsion bars, key.

Maybe you could buy rolling chassis from a theft recovery or rollover. That would be way easier because you have to match the gears in the front diff to the rear gears, not to mention the torsion bar mounts etc. Good luck!!

sounds like you would be better off trading or getting a new truck unless you have money and a high tolerance for headaches

ive thought about this for a long time, and i think a whole new rolling chassis would be the way to go. in a few years and a couple hundred horsepower down the road it may be something i look into more seriously.

new chevy ss 4x4 frame 1600.00
used 4L65e and transfercase, denali or awd something, 900.00
used awd front axle and both drive shafts , 300.00
front suspension, brakes, and c/v shafts complete w/torsion stuff 250.00
if you get a older style transfer case with a vicous coupler it needs no computers to run and you wouldnt need to even reprogram any computers.
get 6-8 good friends that all know how to turn a wrench and it can be done in a weekend if you have the frame and front stuff all installed before you start to transfer parts. keep all the recepts and dont get any parts for free(or at least make a recept for them) take pictures and then you will need to take it to the state for inspection to get the title changed over to 4x4. if they try to smog test it on a dyno somebody will get killed.
i have seen this done before, if you think it out it, and take your time it works great, the truck thinks it still a 2wd. good luck.

it can be done, if i did it there would be no problems getting it inspected, and no smog tests here. that wouldnt be a concern for me but HT knows his shit so im sure if u took what he said to heart ud have a fairly complete answer to ur question.
