I THINK THE ARE. THE HAVE THE 2.0 INTAKE VALVE AND FLOW A LITTLE BETTER? THIS IS MY OPINION. I THINK IT IS THE SAME HEAD AS ON THE LQ9 6.OL. I DO NOT KNOW THE CHAMBER SIZE THOUGH?

YOU COULD ALWAYS GET A PORT AND POLISE JOB ON THEM. THAT BRING THE FLOW RATES UP SIGNIFICANTLY.

HEY I STILL NEED A RIDE IN THAT BEAST. I HAD TO LEAVE TOWN EARLY SORRY I DIDN'T CALL FRIDAY.

It all depends. What are the casting #'s of your heads and the LS1 heads.

the heads will work but with your bore of 3.77 compared to the 5.7 3.9 the valves will be close to the piston wall. Been there done that lol.

oh yeah your compression will drop as well, your at 9.5.1 and will go to like 9.0.1 close to that anyways.

So your saying that the 5.3's have small valves. I thought they had 2.00/1.55's, I thought it was just the 4.8's that had small valves.

5.3 has smaller valves, keep the 4.8/5.3 heads. You'll drop compression, shroud the bore, lose torque, etc.

    Still wanna do it?

Get them and deck them. I got mine and decked them 0.010 and cut the valve seats and took the humps out of the ports on the valve side. Love them. Retains stock compression and increases flow.

When CC vol decreases, compression rises.
