Just recieved my Nelson Tune for my LQ4 swap in my 02 Tahoe and it,s been a long two weeks! Just installed it and it barley idled, almost stalled even after road testing easy. Then I turned it off and restarted it and it idled up alot better. I re-road tested it and punched it and it seemed to have no more power than the 5.3 stock tune. Wonder if it will run better as I drive it or need to have allen send me the comp 224 cam set up!. Probally will start running into the bucks now for more power! Just took it for another ride and it's coming alive very well, but transmission doesnt shift nice and tight like it used to with the corvette servo. wonder if the hp and tq is causing this? The trans wont last if i tow as hard as i used too! with the 5.3. Feels like it could be slipping into 2nd alittle or is this torque manegment?

In my trucks, dude, I dont change the Ecu, just calibrations, and some times it take a day or more to relearn!!!!!!!!

I ask Allen if my Ecus been Venezuelan or something was wrong with them to be slow learners? and he told me that sometimes US dudes call him like 10 hours after the Calibration just to tell him that it change and Rocks......

Call him, he'll fix u dude

It is very common for the idle to be much better after the second start. The tune will get much better after you drive it awhile.
