Hi guys im Nick. I have been on the forums for awhile. My truck has been tuned by allen at the track at SAR. I also met jethro there and he was pretty cool. I live in college station. I am a network technician so i am the shit when it comes to computers. My hobby has been my truck and always will be. My first truck was a white 94 s10 with a Gen1 vortec v6 4.3. I supped the shit out of that s10. It was quick and fast till i sold it. I miss that truck wish i still had it. But i moved on to bigger and better things and purchased my first new truck which was a 2004 Blue reg cab 4.3. I loved that truck till some bitch ran a stop sign and totaled it. So out of the insurance settlement i stayed with a 2004 and purchased what is now my truck. I pulled alot of stuff off my other 04 and put it on this one. I cant wait till i can afford an STS. So in the mean time i am doing the mods that i can afford. I am glad to finally find a group that appreciates trucks because the car club down here doesn't.

Hey sciv i met you that night i was there getting my truck tuned. It was you and jethro that were there and then allen came up in his GTO and tuned my truck. There was one other guy there but i cant remember that has the silverado mesquito killer smoke coming out the back. He even threw on a work suit and pulled his o2 sensors. I plan on making it for the BBQ. I also hope to have a chance to go to SAR in the next few weeks. My goal tomorrow or this weekend is to replace the inner tie rod connectors because i am not leaving town till that is done.

Hey jethro how are you liking your cam since you put it in. It had just come in when i was there and you ran with me on the track. How much faster is your truck?

I went to home depot and purchased the $9 alluminum dryer hose and a $10 can of spray insulation. I removed the bottom part of the air box and cut a round hole with a dremel big enough for the hose to fit threw. Below the bottom part of the air is a metal plate that you have to match up and cut a hole that lines up with the hole in the bottom of the air box. You want to cut the hole in the bottom of the air box on the side closest to the engine if you dont you will not be able to fit it down between the shroad of the wheel well and the frame. You route the hose down and squeeze it between the metal bar that supports the front bumber and then route it up in front of the condensor and behing the front grill. You will need to cut some of the rubber that sits between the inside of the bumper and the grill. Then you will need to direct the hose to point forward and gather the air. There is a hole next to where the front clip snaps into place that you and put a zip tie threw and hold the hose in place. To finish up the air box after you have routed the hose use the spray in insulation to fill the 2 holes in the side of the air box and then around the hose. *Important* DO NOT PUT THE FILTER OR TOP OF THE AIR BOX back on until the insulation has dried. Otherwise you will risk damageing the maf from the fumes of the insulation cureing. After the insulation is dry take a knife and cut and clean up the insulation so that it looks good and so you can still put the air filer in and the top of the air box. I will try and get the pictures up soon. if you have any questions feel free to send me an email.
