What does everybody think of the big block zz502? I can't decide if I want to put it in my race truck or not. The picture attached is the Pro-flo EFI version. 540 hp.

Hows about a fastburn 385. Maybe the same horsepower, but about half the cost of a zz...

I like it, the big blocks already have tons of torque and hp, and work a lot less compared to a small block, i say go for it, how else can you get that much power and reliability,

i'm sure you can build a sb with the same hp, but i wouldn't think it would last as long, just trying to keep up with the power of the big block.

    later,

The only problem is if I swap to a big block, I have to change mounts, transmission, etc.

What about a 8.1L new block, they put out a lot of power. I'd mod it so that is spins a bit higher, but that might work.
