Since I took my cats off my truck it's louder than I like for it to be. I am running headers, no cats, 2 1/2" all the way out the back with 40 series flowmasters, I am thinking about something else that has a good tone without all the noise. Any suggestions?

I like the way the delta flow flowmasters sound, they don't have the droning noise the original 40's have.
I'm considering the 50series delta flow mufflers, i want something quiet too.

    good luck,

I'm running a magnaflow cat back (5x11x22" Muffler, 3" & 4" Tubing, Side Exit, 4" Tip), it sounds very good and it is not that loud, I keep the cats though.
I've also heard that the magnaflow single in and dual out is quieter.

here is a link for the universal mufflers: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/ss.htm

    Hope this helps.

I'm running duel edelbrock RPM's. Nice muffler with very little drone. Much better than the flowmaster I had on previously.

I'm running the welded mufflers that summit sells. I'm sure they are a name brand that makes them for summit. My truck sounds just like Allen's.

I run dual Spintechs. I love the way it sounds. Its similar to the flowmaster but definately is different. and has les resonance inside the cab as well. but it still is pretty loud. probably too loud for most people

I have a Flowmaster on my Z71. It is decently loud at WOT and doesn't resonate for me for some odd reason. It's a 40 series DeltaFlow. My revs don't get past 2K on the freeway at 70mph so I think that's got something to do with it.

The Blue Oval has a Mangaflow...5x11x22 it's huge. It's dumped so it resonates a bit. I need to get my tailpipes put on it soon.

My old '99 Z71 had a Dynomax Super Turbo. Loved the sound. Not too loud, not too quiet. Very little drone (radio could over power the drone easily).

I want to ride in a vehicle with Magnaflows and tailpipes to hear the sound at cruise.

ASM headers, no cats, x-pipe, dual Borla ProXS mufflers, exiting in front of the rear passenger tire. From where the cats use to be and back is all stainless tubing, and no tips, just polished at the end.
