Well guys, just want to share some of my devotion to Chevy trucks.
Since got my mods and some Nelson tune, I’ve hitting some street to let know my rig. Even dough we are far from finishing on the tune with Nelson, we are just on the right track. Been a tire burner from light to light calls some attention, and got the word to street race this new Subie in town. As a adrenaline junkie I said yes right away, knowing I have some disadvantage cause Nelson don’t let me use the 125HP wet NOS yet, I had to take other weapon, son I ran to my place, an bolted the Hoosiers drag radial 335-35-17 and changed the ratio with my HPtuners. So in a NASCAR action took me about 15 minutes to take out my 20” and put the 17”. Went to the place where the Subie was waiting, white artic with a pro rally driver as owner, I knew this guy. But since we were not taking any dirt roads or curves I had a chance. Well, we stage and I lock my front brakes and stall to 2800rpm. The guy in the middle let us go and smash the pedal to the floor, if I slip, probably a meter, no more. I got him. Took the ¼ mile, and car and a half length on him. As we drove back I roll down my window and he told me he had a bad Start, that if we can go again. And as full adrenalin rush, I said, no problem. In the way to the starting line I was speaking to my self saying WTF, a bad start??!!! A pro driver on an AWD with potenzas on all corners!!!!!!. WTF I’m on a Chevy…hehehehehe.
We stage again this time I could not control the revs and pass to 3000rpms with some tire spinning. On the go thumbs I floor the gas pedal just to see my truck side ways to his door, I had to let go the pedal so to line again the truck. As soon ot happens I hit again the gas, but too late, he pass the ¼ mile with the same length I win him before.
He told me that my truck was really fast, I said to him let’s go for another one, he told me he had to called for the night that he had to go.
I send some pictures to Allen Nelson about the cars. But I was piss on my self for not taking him twice. But as my grand mother always said, “there’s more time than life” Well hit it again, I’m sure of that.
This Friday night I have a challenge against a 92 SS454 that is suppose to be the faster truck in town. I’m using the nitrous on this one against Nelson instructions. It will be a pass, hope nothing break. I’ll keep u guys posted on the results and some pictures on the ones that want some.
