OBS gen 4 LS swap wiring help

this is my first OBS ls swap so bear with me.. great site. got almost all my info for parts from this site.

well i have pretty much everything needed to dig into the swap except for the wiring part.

    its a 1990 c1500 getting a 2008 gen 4 5.3(since we got it pretty cheap)
has anyone done this without changing out the reluctor wheel? since its a 58x im going to have to run drive by wire.
im getting a harness made but would still need to wire in gauges, starter, fuel pump,
i have the 08 gas pedal as well. anything else needed?

if anyone has done the swap please chime in.

On another note how are you going to install the gas pedal, I have an GEN 4 too (LY6). Also my first swap. I just ordered a harness from LSPerfomance on facebook, shipped to my house for 740$ or so..

Find a corvette pedal... I used the pedal that came with my gen 4 engine. The pedal works although the angle is terrible and it's plastic which makes it near impossible to modify. Ive got a pedal from a late model corvette that i havent got around to putting in but from just sticking it in the truck to see how it will work its going to be a way better option. Youll have to swap a couple wires on the pigtail to get it to work with the throttle body.

Mine is from a zr1 vette. I think all c6 pedals are the same but not sure. 08 and up had the ls3 so i think that would be the ones to look for. This should work.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-06-07-08-...del%3ACorvette If you decide to go with that pedal save yourself some trouble and tell whoever is modifying the harness to wire up the pigtail for the corvette pedal.
