Does anyone have any input on the do it yourself bedliners ? I know some just roll on and I'm not sure how that's going to hold up or look . I'm afraid it might look like that cheap spray on undercoating once it's on . Two brands I've seen are Durabak and Hercules . THe lowest prices I've gotten for someone to do one for me are just under $500 . Thanks for any input, fellow LS1 maniacs

buddy of mine did it and it looked exactly like a rhino liner! it was great....6 months later it looked like he drove to the beach and let all the birds take a crap in the bed of his truck.

it turned white and started peeling up. you get what you pay for....

Not always true, I have a gun and I sprayed mine not going by the directions and it started peeling up. I sprayed a friend of mines and his still looks good today. I used the Duplicolor spray in which was $20 a gallon 4 years ago. The stuff went up and now I have to agree with TXSilverado and LS1Cheyenne now. Pay and have it done, you'll be better off in the long run. The best linedr I"ve seen is LineX. JMHO

I like my Rhino liner, but everyone who has seen mine says it is not typical of Rhino liner to come out as good as mine did. The guy who did my window tint had something called SuperLiner. It was a spray in bedliner with ground up chunks of kevlar in it! You could sharpen a knife on it.

Well, i'm gonna be the one positive one here, i have it on my 04 sierra, and had it on my ZR2 S10, and both have and are holding up well, i have a toneau cover though, and keep it clean, i used mine for the look, and slight protection, if you haul alot of stuff, go the linex way, but for light usage with little UV exposure, i can't say anything bad about my Herculiner jobs. Bottom line is just as with a paint job, the prep work makes the finished job or breaks it.

The local outfitter that did my shell and liner steered me away from a spray-in. They could have made more $$$ by doing a spray job, but recommended a Pendaliner SK (Skid Resistor) instead. Modern, quality drop in liners don't screw up the bed finish nearly like they used to. The Pendliner has some nice features and cleans up real nice.

Not judging wether the spray-in type is good or bad. My take is that the quality of a spray-in liner really depends on the skill of the person applying it. Like ZYA_LTR said, with prep work being critical.

    Dude, BED RUG

I got one I love it, i had the Hercules liner in my S10 it was alright but to keep it right I had to spray it with STP son of a gun to make it black again, I went Bed rug and love it I have transported engines trannies etc spilling crap every were and I just take it to the car wash spray it out and BAM like new no stains or anything, and it is tough as nails, I also like that when and if I ever replace the beast I will take it with me and under neath, look clean as a babys bottom!!
