Just to add to the confusion. Didn't they make a big block years ago that was named the ls6?

It's just the option code, not a big deal. I believe the ls6 rpo started in the 70s, and was a totally different motor.

The 1970 Chevelle SS454 was an LS6...450hp! They should have called it the LDX
