I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado and need to do a crankshaft relearn. Is there anyone in the area that has a GM Tech II or Hp Tuners Software that can help me out. The dealer wants $100, which is crazy.
Just got Nelson Tune.
Thanks,
Wes

You just put the tune in and it starts for about a second and dies?
This is what to do.
Turn the key on and try and start it
It will dies.
leave the key in the on possition after it dies for about 11 munutes untill the security light goes off.
Turn the key off for 30 seconds.
Try and start it again.
It will dies.

It should start up now. If that is the problem you are talking about.

I appreciate the thought, but I am looking for a crankshaft relearn. You are referring to a security relearn. My truck started up just fine after the install.
Need someone with a GM Tech II or HP Tuners to help me.
Thanks
Oopps sorry. Yeah I wasnt sure.

I can help you if you're willing to drive up to the Deer Valley area. I have EFILive.

That sounds cool. My only problem right now is I hurt my back pretty bad and I'm eating percocets until I can schedule my back surgery. Messed it up racing motocross.
If I drive more than 30 minutes, I mine as well put a gun to my head. What are your cross streets in Deer Valley? I'm way out in South Gilbert, Chandler Heights and Higley. It could take an hour and half depending on the time of day. Maybe I could pop a bunch of pills and try to make the trip over, but it still might be too much pain for me. Is EFI Live just like HP Tuners or a GM Tech II?
I could try to get someone to drive me over too.
Thanks man,
Wes
Hey thunder550,
I found a dealer about 20 minutes from my house that said they would do it. It ended up being the fourth time I called around to different dealers. I got some guy on the phone that was cool and he said for 40 bucks he would take care of me.
I appreciate your offer, but it makes more sense to do this because my back is all jacked.
Thanks again man,
Wes
Wait...will the dealer know for sure I have a tune on there even though I am just doing a crankshaft relearn?
I paid extra for my 100k warranty and if I loss it I will be super pissed off.
I wouldn't take that chance. I had mine done by a local guy with HPT.

No worries man, I hate driving across town too.
If the dealer is just doing a crank relearn they won't know you have a tune. In fact, unless you are running a custom O/S, there really isn't any way for them to check. I wouldn't sweat it if I were you.
See if they will do the relearn out on the service drive. I had mine done at a dealer once and the tech brought the TechII out to my truck...took him all of about 45 seconds to do the relearn and I was on my way again.
