New the the LS scene, but know my way around cars, trucks, engines, and what not. Never swapped one though I've owned a swap (old 350 in a 73 Cruiser) but that's what I'm setting out to do. Two possibilities are a 81 FJ60 and a 97 extended cab silverado with a dead 4.3 in it that my Bro might get for cheap.

It does look like this game can get expensive, but I plan to start modest and focus on collecting parts while doing research, research, research. Maybe that will help control or at least spread out the cost but I'm sure in the end it will be twice what I hope
