    97 Burbon 4.8 swap help

not sure if this is in the right place or not but. I've been doin alot of research here (and lt1tech) and there is alot of good info. I had a 5.7 cpi and going to a 03 4.8. I want to use the 97 fuse box which I've seen done but unsure which wires to pull from C2 and were to place them in the 97 fuse block. I'm going to delete the 97 pcm to clean it up. Can any one get me a good diagram on this or on my pcms the 03 is a 12570558 any help would be great. Also there is a black two wire connector going to the 97 pcm can't figure out what it is for.

so you need to know the powers and grounds of the 97 fuse block or do you need to know the power and grounds for the 4.8?

Just out of curiousity...why didnt you go ahead and go with a 5.3L instead of a 4.8L?

Bought it from Junk yard was told it was 5.3 but when I checked the vin I found out it wasn't. The engine is in the truck (working in dirt driveway) and I don't want to pull it out but I'm going to see what the junk yard will do to make it right. Would rather have a 5.3 which my wifes 03 sivlerado has, but i just ain't that type of person to to be a jerk about it. Plus I figure In a couple of years the 4.8 can go in my s10 and a 6.0 can go in the Burbon.

Wow what a pain! I feel your pain about the dirt driveway...been there done that. Snow is always fun! But let me give you a heads up. When you get a garage you wont have room to work on a truck in there because it will be packed with all your crap. I've got 2 garages....with all my crap in there. lol

I'm trying to wire in the Volt gauge on the form the old harness to the new one. On the 03 diagram it looks like it gets sent through serial data 2 but there is the brown charge indacator light wire that goes from the alt to the pcm circuit 25. Can i tap in to this wire to run my factory gauge it is the circuit and color of wire as the 97.
