    Thinking of turboing my 00 5.3. Single turbo Daily Hauler 450-500hp

    Hey guys ive got a few turbo hondas and other cars. Im gonna build manifolds for the 5.3 with a passenger side single turbo mount. I want to do a water to air .

    Im wondering whats a good size turbo for this application. Just want 450-500hp quick spool and decent power.

    Any advise ive looked and the builds are bigger then what im looking for.

    You can get that HP with a way smaller turbo. I have a 76mm turbo and make 487 to the wheels with a stock 5.7l on a hot day with a very stingy Mustang dyno.

    Single 70 or 76 will make it easy.

    What brand turbos are you guys refereing to? Sorry im so stuck in the turbo import world lol.

    Like i said i dont want lag just want something 500ish.

    Also wondering in normal driving on a good tune you guys notice a increase in MPG ?

    Look for a used kit. Master power stopped shipping to the US, so theres some other brand guys are using now. I cant think of it. But a used kit would be the cheapest way to do it. Im running 70/96 on mine with a single front mount air to air and I drive it all the time. Theres also guys with 4.8s running 76/96 on theres.
