    Hey Guys
I have a question that hopefully Allen will chime in on, I am thinking about removing my cats, I have a hypertech, (A Nelson tune coming soon), but I was thinking, with out having a good tune, and not having the rear o2 sensors turned off am I going to lose performance because of the rear 02 sensors reading incorrectly and the pcm trying to adjust for it. I just want to make sure I don't mess up by taking the cats off. Anyone done this with out a tune???
    Thanks

No, you wont loose any performance. The rear cats only throw a SES light to let you know something isn't right. The front O2's are the ones that control the A/F mixture and timing.
I'm not allen, but hope this helps.

You wont lose any performance, I took my cats off and all Allen has to do is turn off the rear o2 codes, I also removed my EGR and had the codes removed from it.

Also, don't expect big power from dumping them. Maybe 5-7rwhp at the top of the powerband, these new stock cats flow pretty well.
