    Sensors

Whats the best way to go with getting the sensors working for my gauges? I am assuming on the oil its best to go with the adapter and putting in a stock to the truck style sensor and retaining the original wiring for the truck. What about on the temp sensor? If I am thinking correctly the LQ4 only has one for the PCM so you have to either tap a new one into the head or go with a 3 wire sensor. Can someone tell me more about the 3 wire sensor setup? I would prefer to go this route than be drilling on the head. What exactly do I need to get? Is this just a modified pigtail that fits the LQ4 sensor? Can someone tell me where to get the necessary parts as well?

This looks to be the easiest way to get your gauges working.

I think these adapters let you run your original sensor and the 6.0 sensor.I am reading and getting my parts list ready for my own swap.......Good luck, I hope this helps.

this is from one of the stickies in the conversions section,

LS1 Engine Installation Guide PN 88959384

    Lots of usefull information!

3 wire engine coolant temperature sensor (one wire for the dash gauge, the other two for the PCM. PN 12551708).

That is only reference to 3 wire sender I can find.
