Pics and Part #'s for Caliper clearance with 16's on 2006 Silvy
Well, after many people saying that I should not have been able to fit 16's on the front of my truck without modification i figured I'd post some pics of how much clearance I have. It's not much, but I haven't had any rub issues with them after about 350 miles. I've got about 1/8th of an inch on both passenger and driver side. I did notice that is knocked a couple of my wheel weights off, but they were just stickies and I didn't notice any vibration at 100+ mph. The calipers are about 1/2 an inch fron the inner face of the wheel. My pads aren't worn too bad, but the MIGHT not fit if I had brand new pads. Will see about that this spring. Only thing that moderately irks me is that the hub opening is slightly larger that the OEM wheels. I dont think that it's too big of a problem since the lugs are conical and hold the wheels in place very well. I just made sure to torque them down before I left for the track, when I got there and when I was done.
For those possibly interested in these wheels, they are Summit part number: SUM-85-6883
First pic is driver side, second is passenger. The passenger side looks a little closer due to the camera angle.
