    Need a tune

Whats the most economical way to get my car tuned? Once I get my swap complete, I'm going to need a tune, and I am NOT a tinkerer. Once it's together, done and tuned - it'll never be touched again. Just driven, and maintained. I keep reading about some of the remote tuners, is there a listing of who's done what, any dyno-graphs, etc.?? Ona couple of other forums I'm on (bimmerforums.com for example) there is a stickied thread at the top of the forced induction section with links to a TON of peoples builds, turbo kit installs, dyno graphs, etc. In that world though, there are only about 5 tuners in existence in the country, so it's alot easier, but still...

So, who does tuning, whats it cost, and where can I find reference to their work? Thanks!!

Well just on this site you have a hand full of guys doing mail order and live tunes. I believe NP does something called a hot rod tune for like 150$ which is just about as cheap as you are gonna find or you can pay for lifetime retunes for 300 and he does good work. You send your info he sends you a tuned PCM and you send back your old one. He runs this site and prolly about half the guys on here have had or currently have one of his tunes.

^what he said. I've had several different tunes and hand held programmers and none of them compare to Nelson Performance. Give Allen a call. You won't be disappointed.

I was in the same shoes as you, I did some research and read a ton of feedback and just this past weekend I made a little trip to see the Nelson Performance boys. NO REGRETS! My truck was a slug.....but those guys squeezed all kind of goodness out of it.....Shifts awesome at WOT and is smooth during normal driving. I would HIGHLY recommend them.
