LQ4 2500HD timing?
Just wondering what you guys are running for timing advance in your LQ4's? Its in a 01 2500HD with the 4L80E and 4.11 gears. The stock timing table looks pretty pathetic? Im planning on running 87 octane for the price and I do tow a small travel trailer during the summer. Just looking for advice on the Low and High rpm timing curves?? Thanks for any help!!

Ur not gonna get much more timing out of the engine with 87oct
Step up to 89 or mid grade and u'll extract a lot more.
There are conditions and tables that affect timing, so keep that in mind.
By simply modifying the iat vs timing table u can increase timing quite a bit, especially during summertime.

man i put the table in my truck last night from a lq9 escalade tune and holy the truck woke up. i pretty much coppied almost everything i could from the lq9 tune and only deleted a few torque management things and it is night and day, did not mess with the timing tables yet just stock for now so u should be able to run 89 at least on it, but its totally different, i would try that and see how u like it, it works dam good though
