    Questions about v-band...

So I have been thinking about eliminating the slip fit connections on my LT's and ORY. So far I have thought about welding the joints of the ORY together, trimming down the "legs" of the ORY, and welding on some 2 or 3 bolt flanges to the ORY and collectors on the LT's.

I was looking around to see what a set of 3 bolt flanges would run and kept coming across sites with V-Band stuff. I know its used mostly in the turbo world, but what are y'alls thoughts about possibly doing a v-band connection between the collectors and the ORY??? Is it even possible? How well will it seal? Whats it gonna cost me?

    Any help would be awesome!

    Edit:

    Something like this:

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

Either Vbands or Ball flange connections. I refuse to use 3 bolt connections with gaskets on anything!!!!

I just bought a few vbands today. $50 a piece, locally. They are the only damn exhaust clamp I have ever seen that doesn't leak. Im using them on my headers to my y-pipe, and then one on the y-pipe to the tailpipe.

That's what I'm planning as well. Guess I better save my pennies for a few sets.

There's a million places to buy them from. Find the size you need at a good price and fire away.

Summit or Jegs has the weld flanges and the clamps.
