    Time for a cam...

Ok, I put the 6.0L in last year. I've been playing around with HP Tuners here and there. So I think it's about time for a cam swap. Mods right now are stock 6.0L and cat back exhaust. My question is which cam for a DD 6.0L 4x4? Stock tranny for now with an 80e in the near future. The TC is stock but I will step up when I install the 80e. So again what cam and TC for DD? I would like something that makes good power and sounds good.

    TR224 is pretty common for a 6.0
I have a 222/226 .596/.598 112+4 EPS cam in my LQ4 with 243 heads. Makes excellent power, idles good after I tuned it and has good low and mid range, which is probably what you want with the 4x4 on a DD. Has a little lope to it at idle, made my truck sound a lot different with the LT headers. Not sure if I would like it without the higher stall converter, but you said you plan to switch anyway.

I have a TR224 and it's a good all-around cam for a 6.0. As for the torque converter, a quality 3200 would suit you well.
