Second question how much of a shot is safe for that setup?
Short answer, yes its a good combo but i would get a little bigger cam, dont think you will notice too much difference with the z06 cam. JMO. Im not a nitrous expert but the answer I most often see to your nitrous question is that a 150 wet shot is about the limit to feel "safe" with that set up.

I feel safe with 150-175. Many have run 200 on stock shortblocks, but I won't. The Z06 cam you're talking about isn't big enough to be worth the time in my opinion. The LS2 heads however (243 casting) are going to give you a nice noticeable bump in compression.

Ok thanks for the help ill scrap the zo6 cam and get a comp cam just making sure got it dirt cheap from a friend. So with the following will I be seeing numbers around 450 HP with LT,s 243 head's comp springs, cold air intake and of course a big comp cam with a 150 zex wet shot?
Probably be closer to 500 on the ground depending on cam choice.
