I was wondering if the MAF was before the boosted source does that allow you to use it at higher HP levels. I know that if the maf is on the boosted side of things you can max it out. Is it the same? Or does it allow you to go tot higher level.?

would it matter where the MAF is since all the same air is still going thru it??

also if using a draw thru setup youll need to recirculate the BOV which becomes a bypass valve in stead of blow off. Youll need this since that air that is being bypassed is measured air, if you dont then youll get skewey afr and idle characteristics.
also its not best to have a MAF of any sort on a bend. Best results are to have the air as straight as possible when passing thru and onto the TB

Ok so it's an hp level. Hmmm so bigger hp say 600+ unhave to sd tune?

It's not hp based either, but that can be some sort of measurement tool if you're an sd tuner and want to go that route. Hell, I sd tuned my gto, it's NA, about 400hp to the wheels, doesn't max out maf, just my choice.
Even if your boosted truck maxes out the maf, you can still maf tune it, ppl have done it for years, you just adjust different tables; not saying it's correct, but there's no madatory criteria that says you must sd tune a truck.
I will say, sd tuning is better for boosted applications. Even the new maf equipped stuff. That is just my opinion!
One example that I was forced to sd tune: my avalanche, when I first put a turbo on it, i had a terrible bog in third gear at wot. a/f ratio was perfect, timing was good, but it couldn't get it. All other gears where good.
So, pulled the maf, installed 2bar, everything was perfect. (of course with good tuning)
Plus, almost every vehicle I tune that exhibits an a/f ratio or drivability issue, pull the maf and it fixes it!!
Just mentioning this since you asked, when what why should you sd tune or maf tune. There are so many variables, but once you run into all of them, you'll be able to make the choice.
I can tell you with your setup, imo, skip the maf, don't even install it, just install a 2/3bar and be done!
good luck,
