    I have YET to see any sort of truck at an IL track that wasn't either a complete race car, or bone stock. There's a few early 90's styles, all fiberglass, big blocks, blowers, etc. And few guys whose mommy's bought them 08-10 chevys/fords/dodges...but that's really about it.
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    There's one on that guys uploads that shows a Z71 CCSB 6.2L running 12's. Pretty much the same set up you are lookin for I think except newer motor.

    hey oleshifty, what time of year does byron close? im originally from niu area and would like to run my truck closer to sea level next time i go back. just cant remember how long they close down in the winter. much longer than texas im sure lol

    i remember that race on video, black truck was having trouble wit tranny couldnt even burn out, and it launched on second gear great race btw

    You read it right. Sounded like he didnt have first gear. So he launched in second.
