    what would you do?

As I have posted my engine problem in a earlier thread. My options are as followed.
    1. flip my ls6 up side down, pull crank and turn it. replace rod and main bearings. replace oil pump as well, replaced pan, front cover gasket for around $900. this is leaving the rods in the block and not replacing the rings.

    2. used 6.0 out of a 04 caddy with 78k for $1100 with a 6 month warranty. Id have to throw my cam and springs in.

I figure they should make pretty close to the same power. I hate half a$$ing the rebuild but i dont have the funds to do a complete freshen. thanks for your input.
    just a tow package

why would you have to throw your cam and springs in?
