I am installing a Kendwood cd player in my truck and bought the $40 wiring kit. It seems to my that I have to keep my stock radio in it also.

what kind of wiring kit? one to hook up the cd player to the factory harness, or one to wire up an amp?

if its one to hook up to the factory harness try this...unplug the back of the factory radio, then look towards the back of the factory harness. it might unclip again back in the back and then you plug up your new harness.

if not give more details, your question was a bit vague.

I think I got it. It has RDS and I do have to keep the stock radio. I put it under the drive seat. The new harness is like 10' long. It has a seperate speaker with it for the door chime but I never liked it anyways. I think this is a 2003 thing and up.
