    Race update!!!

Well some may remember we had the crazy idea to turn a 1982 Renault Le Car into a road racer. We entered Pepe le Pew into the 24 Hours of Lemons race series in the February race held at Houston MSR. Needless to say, our first race didn't end so well. More info here: http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/racer...tml#post353605

So, fast forward to this past weekend to the North Dallas Hooptie race held at Eagles Canyon Raceway near Decatur. It was HOT. Holy crap it was soooo hot. Anyway, this race turned out exactly like we planned. More info here:

A badass trophy with a depiction of our car from the last race (on it's roof) and $1501.00 USD. But the bragging rights are the most important part of this series.

I would highly recommend this to ANYONE!!!!! SOOOOO much effin fun, it should be against the law.

BTW - Fiesta's handle GREAT out there with just a few mods. There was one lapping us regularly. Look up the SHO gun Fiesta for inspiration.

No, thanks to you for building us such a fantastic rollcage and other safety stuff. More than a few comments on the nice welds as usual. Couldn't have done it without you.

You kept us from killing someone last time!!

A coworker and I will probably be getting a car in the near future. We both have some seat time and are wanting to do this since we cant afford a real race car. Congrats on your success with it.

I highly recommend it. A complete blast if you don't take yourself, or racing for that matter, very seriously.

I was wondering what happened to the car. You going to keep racing it?

We are undecided right now. Toying with the idea of making the car faster to compete better (it only has 50 hp!). Next race is in September back in Houston.
