    Upgrading Brakes

Well now my truck is ten years old, and the brakes give off a slight shudder when i first start to brake, but it goes away quickly once i apply more pressure. I have put new pads and rotors on the truck and they sort of helped, but im looking to get that better braking back. What have you guys done for brakes as far as things like master cylinder, steel braided lines...etc. Is it worth it to get a new master cylinder or steel lines?

    On my C3 I have:
Stock rear C3 dual piston calipers (Same as Tahoe I believe)
    Stock 2005 front calipers
    Goodridge lines all around
hydroboost set-up from 2005 Yukon Denali
    Stock master cylinder
    Hawk HPS pads all around
    Powerslot rotors all around

The thing has spectacular brakes. They weren't too shabby stock, but now they are great.

Russel steel lines and stock rotors/pads. I had to stop a 6000lb trailer without brakes before and after I did the lines. They made a HUGE difference in stopping distance. Just do the lines and drain and change the brake fluid.

Drilled slotted rotors and stainless lines made a HUGE difference on mine....

Then i went up 2 more sizes on tires and I'm back to not being able to stop. Might upgrade to dual piston in the back, and i heard the front calipers on the 04+ are bigger (just need the bracket/caliper)
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

You have to use the front 04+ caliper, bracket, rotor and pads. You also have to run 17" or bigger wheels.
