    Talking Me vs Silverado SS vs Silverado RCSB vs Silverado ECSB

    Okay so here's the stats on the trucks...

    Me: Turbo 6.0 w/6lbs of boost and 4L80e

    Silverado SS: Says he's "stock"

    Silverado RCSB: 4.8/tr220 cam and "that's all"

    Silverado ECSB: "stock" 6.0

    Well to start off, let me give you a little background about the guys I was racing. I first raced the Silverado SS about six months ago when I still had the 5.3/turbo and walked him a good bit. About a month later (still with the 5.3), I raced his buddy with the RCSB 4.8 tr220 and it was a real close race but a got him by a length or so. When I put the 6.0 in we played around a little, but never raced.. but from the playing around I was pulling hard on him. So tonight my buddies and I are sitting around trying to decide if we're going to ride up to meet them cause it's about a thirty minute ride. We decided to go and when we arrived they were playing it cool. There was a Lightning claiming to have 14lbs of boost, but he wouldn't run. I took the silverado ss guy for a ride in my truck and he was telling me that he had a nitrous kit ordered but it hadn't came in yet. Well when we got back he asked if on my way out we could do a before the nitrous run to see where he was at now.. then later we would do an after the nitrous run. When we got back we tried to get the Lightning to race us again but he wouldn't so we got ready and headed out. The first run was against the Silverado SS and he HAD to be already spraying. He jumped me a length or so.. but halfway through second I pulled on him. Then the RCSB 4.8 tr220 truck came up and we went from two different rolls.. the first one (45mph) he jumped me a length and stayed there.. we went again from a 30mph and by third I had two lengths on him. Next the ECSB 6.0 truck came up, but we didn't get a good run in. The other two trucks said the ECSB 6.0 could out run both of them and that me and him would probably be a really good race. However, these trucks are NOT what they said they were.. I'm pretty sure the SS and the RCSB are already spraying. I've got to hand it to them, they had it all planned out perfect. They made me race the slowest truck to fastest while making me think my only competition up there was the Lightning. But in the end I got two kills and will be going back for more!

    How is a cammed 4.8 beating you with a turbo'd 6.0?

    Well he didn't exactly beat me but still. He's spraying and making me play the "guessing game"... or in other words he's not telling me. At least I think he is.

    But it's okay.. I'm still at 6 lbs!

    I 've seen a 4.8 with a good cam, stall, and tune go a 13.2. I was surprised...

    Its not out of the question for a cam bolt on and stalled 4.8 with the right gears to run with a truck with a stock 6.0 and only 6psi boost. But still somewhat unlikely.
    You going to haft to crank that boost a lil bud! If the 4.8 and SS really arent spraying then you will be having a hard time if they throw a 150 shot on em!
    You think maybe the SS did alot to it except spray and just didnt tell you of the upgrades? I could see a fully bolted well tuned and maybe stalled lq9 not being much slower then ya. Dependent on if it was AWD or not... would equate for him jumping you out the hole and you having to play catch up....

    Found out he was spraying.. raced him a couple weeks later after he said the nitrous was on and same outcome. However, he put a circle D 3000 converter and longtubes on now.

    Sounds like you got a fun lil crew to run with. If they are upgrading to beat you, looks like your in for some fun!

    Crank the knob to 10psi and keep walkin em!

    i can tell you one thing if the SS is an AWD with a stall and spray, depending how big the shot is, from a dig on the street he is gonna be really hard to beat....damn AWDs
