    Parts Need to swap a L92 6.2 into 2001 Silverado 5.3.

Hey guys. I have a 2001 Z71 5.3 Auto right now. Looking to swap a L92 into the truck. What parts are needed for the swap? Any specific years of the L92 I should try to get my hands on? Will my headers I have on the 5.3 bolt right up. Engine harness? Reluctant Wheel? ETC. Thanks!

Shouldn't be too tough. Most of it will bolt right up. A few wiring connectors may have to be extended. New flexplate to mate to the 60e. And I think you need a PCM from the L92 motor...not sure though.

your L92 is a Gen IV block. has a 58x tooth count. get the 58x to 24x converter 275.00 shipped. your knock sensors have to be moved to the side of the block. youll need an adapter harness to run the newer TB in an older truck. change the flex plate to the 60E. your old oil pressure sensor has to be changed bc the valley cover has a Boss on the back for the oil sensor.
