    Problem w/G80?

I have an 07 classic cc with G80. Now I've have had lockers, but never had a factory locker. My problem is when I take off up hill on wet pavement the locker clunks in and out with every tire revolution even under light acceleration, so as i'm going up the hill it goes bang bang bang bang all the way up untill it starts to plane out. when I'm in 4hi in slopy soupy mud I can feel it too. I took it to the dealer and they said it is operating correctly at this time. I've only had this truck for 4 months it only has 23k miles, this just doesent seem normal to me, is it?

Only help I can offer is to get a after market locker. I have never heard of anyone having luck with the g80.

that is normal for that diff. as long as your using the truck for what it was intended for there is no need to upgrade. the STock setup is proven to work for thousands of miles of the years. If you use your setup for things it wasnt intended for then yes you should upgrade.

i have G80 in my blazer and its orignal with a 130k miles on it and i go in the woods and mud quite often. never once an issue

Mine kicks in pretty hard when turning uphill any time I lose traction. I've just gotten used to it.

I agree, but then again, G80's are terrible for performance. They are really only good for random mud holes. You can get a Tru-Track pretty cheap if it bothers you that much.
