If you decided to swap the transmission, many of these fast trucks here are supported by an FL Transmission.

the 65e/70e should be almost direct plug in... an 80e takes a lil work. There is a sticky on here somewhere about how.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
You could put a Transgo shift kit in your current transmission to make it last a little longer...but you're really just prolonging the inevitable.
