    ls6 intake swap

Alright so this guy I no has a ls6 intake with fuel rails and injectors for sale, he is asking $325, appears to be in great condition. Is this a good price, and what else other than water pump would I need to make it work? I no there is the issue with the tensioner, whats the easiest fix for it? Would it be ok to use the rails and injectors from ls6 or should I just convert mine over from the truck? And also what kind of gains can be expected from this, I no I will loose a little low end power but hopefully not enough to notice.... Thanx Nick

To start I wouldn't bother with the swap. You will lose alot of lowend and it really does't help your topend much. But if you are dead set you would need e-fans, LS1 water pump, tubing for your intake, and with the tensioner issue do this. Take your tensioner pulley and stack steel fender washers behind it, these will go where you alt bracket bolt is. To adjust the alignment just add or remove washers as you need to. This may sound stupid but I know of two guys personally that has done this and it saves about $65 on a tensioner relocation bracket. Need anymore info just ask.

You know your truck sounds good when cops ask you to get on it.
