Larger tips than the rest of your pipe is a good idea because it creates some resonace and a nicer sound, but 4" is a bit overkill, 3" might be a little better idea.

I'd go with some 2.25" piping.
I drove my truck around for a bit with open exhaust, on holy shit, I could hardly burn out in first, normall I can burn out at will in first and continue in second, not without exhaust.
just a thought,

Um, what's your question now? Sounds like your setup is already done...

The headers are on not the exaust. So it sounds like everyone thinks the tips are to big which would you use. The muffler is a 5X11X22" body 2 1/2 in & out PART#14568. I want my truck to run mid 13s along with the mods I have and Volant cold air, Electric fans, TT2600, 3.90 gears, And Im thinking the same comp cam 02 Denali has. I am hopeing that will get me there. Oh yea some Drag radials and TB spacer. HaHa. I appreciate youre advice.

Yeah, I don't like tips myself. I hide the tailpipes behind the bumper a la old Cadillacs/TownCars. Plus it limits resonation too. Tips act like a megaphone only.

I think it's going to take a bit more than the 5.3 to get you into the 13s all motor. I like 02's cam but it lacks on the lift and could use a more aggressive lobe IMO. Basically I think there is better stuff out there on the custom end from Comp. Allen is a Comp dealer soooo... find out which lobes you prefer and have a cam ground from there.

An LS1 or 6.0 swap would probably get you there with more ease.

Oh yes, I have the similar muffler in my attic to install... DI/DO Magnaflow w/ built in X-pipe.
