    Thumbs down

Anyway, my 19 year old punk neighbor just purchased a brand new Neon SRT4. Anyone in here ever heard of one? He rarley says anything to me when I pass by and waves on an occasion or two. Ever since he bought that pile he crosses the street over to my house every other day to tell me how fast his car is and how fun it is to drive :music: . He also keeps asking me to go to the track with him so I can race him with my truck. Now, I think this punk just wants to spank me at the truck and make me look like a total fool in front of his friends and mine. I know for sure that he would blow my doors off because those things run like a 13.8 or 14.0 or whatever. I know my truck will run in the 14's but I don't think low 14's. Damn, I am getting sick of him coming over to my driveway everyday and him ask me if I want to race or what mods have I recently done. Mabe I should just throw his ass off my property next time . I feel like throwing some on my truck and then take him to the track but then I would be stuping to his level.

very fast little boogers...over on LS1.com people have been saying they are seeing them tap 12's with a mod here and there....a guy around town mentioned a "boost controller" type chip and a bigger downpipe and he's in the 12's.

jury is still out...although looks like PVO did their homework.....

Hey, how's the ls1 shopping going?

after talking with you last night, sounds like you need/want an ls1, hehehe. just don't let the secret out, and you'll be surprising all the punks on the street.

i'm curious to how well your truck is going to run in the 1/4 after the tune. I bet you do dip easily into the 14's. Still not enuff to break 13's, but with nos or ls1, i bet you're there.

keep us updated, either mod is a great power boost.

Ye, the srt4 neon's aren't bad. I mean, for 20K, you can't beat it. But it has a breeze 2.4 liter with a turbo on it. I'd still be cautious for crankwalk, b/c i dont think Mitsu/Chysler ever fixed that problem with their engines.

C&D made a best run of 13.9 stock, but i'd still be werry about it. Too new, i'm sure bugs need working out.

I think chevy needs to get on the ball and start supercharging the cavalier, that would be pretty bad in my opinion.

they have it as a dealer installed option. An Eaton supercharger. I think its around 2500-3000 for the option, not 100% sure.

Those things are putting out around 220HP. I would by one just to play with if I had the cash. I would take that ugly wing off the back and make it look like a regular neon.
