Question VIN # location stamped on a 2000 NBS chassis

    Hi,

I am trying to locate the location that the VIN# would be stamped on a 2000 NBS 4x4 Ext cab chassis anyone know where this might be located? I have complete rolling chassis from one complete with 6.0L and 4l80E. I plan to use it as a donor for my OBS 4x4 ext Silverado. If anyone has suggestions on how to contact GM with this question that would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kootfly:

The cops know. They try not to give this stuff out. Google might help.

I'm not so sure they stamp the frame with the VIN these days. I do know its lasered on the rear of the engine block though.

Thanks that helps any idea where they laser it onto the frame. What is the best way to locate it or detect it?
