    My buddy has a 01 Silverado 1500 he says heavy duty Ive never seen it 4wd does he have the 4l60e or 4l80e. Thanks

    well does he have the 6.0 or the 5.3, 4.8? if its the 6.0 i would say 4l80e

    the new 1500&#39;s with the 4.8 and 5.3 are available with the 80e as well, they also are rated at 365hp to make up for the larger tranny


    if it&#39;s an early 1500 (hd is missing from the badging) 6L or later one, it has the 80e, if it has the 4.8 or 5.3 it&#39;s a 60e.
