    Spring Rates

Nu B here. I have a 97 ECSB 2wd. I have already installed a ladder bar/ coil over setup on the rear. The unname company that i ordered the parts from suggested that i use 130lb springs in the rear. the truck now rides like a brick. so my first question would be what spring rate should i be running in the rear.
My second question is i am going to be installing a qa1 coilover conversion setup on the front. the truck is fairly low (5" front/6-7" rear drop). what spring rate should i be looking for for that kit? The truck has 17's on it and it seems to handle fairly well. it currently has a 5.7, but will be recieving a 6.0l within a month or 2.

    Thanks in advance

do you have the truck scaled? what is the rear weight? coil-overs generally are not going to give great ride characteristics.

what about progressive rate springs? what spring rates are people running in a full size truck? i am mainly concerned about the rear rate, because it really rides like a brick, and the suspension moves freely w/o any springs and shocks.
    thanks

the truck has never been scaled and i dont have any access to scales. the truck is fairly close to stock weight, minus the stock rear suspension replaced by ladder bar setup w/ coilovers
