    Come Inside, I Need Help!!

I'm stuck in a dilema! My 22's weigh 72lbs w/tire and my stock 17's weigh 54lbs w/tire. My first ? is, does that 20lb per wheel make a big enough difference that it would drop my ET's and if so by how much(rough estimate)? (and yes I do race on the 17's)

Now my next ? is should I sell the 22's and spend the $$ on performance parts (roughly $1000)
ALL OPPIONIONS APPRECIATED!!! The performance bug has bitten and dug it's teeth in deep!

I say keep them! Buy a good nitrous kit and spray a 100-150 shot. That way you can have the best of both. If you go to the track, swap out your 22's for 17's and run. While I would normally convince you to go the turbo route, it is not a cost effective way to get more HP. Nitrous is the best bang for the buck......just be careful about the bang!!

heres my opinion....large wheels look good on our trucks. you dont race 24/7 so why do you need to drive on race wheels 24/7? i have my SSS wheels for normal driving. when its time to go to track or etc. i slap on my 15/16 combo and go at it. this way my drag tires dont get beat up to much and my truck still looks tits with the 20s on it. hell i been thinking of going SSS 22s.

same thing for my camaro..i have 08 Z06 wheels. 19x12/18x9.5...for the track ill have 17x4/17x11 combo. id much rather look good when normal driving then drive around on some uglier wheels just to say im faster.

thats my take on it.....keep the 22s and get a set of 15s for rear and run your 17s up front for track.

if some say about money...your going to spend money on DRs or cheater slicks anyways. its cheaper to buy a 15" DR/cheater slick then a larger rim size. not mention 15s are dirt cheap or free. mid 80s 3/4 wheels fit. my fronts are tahoe spares with stock rubber on them. only money i have in them besides the DRs are the powdercoating. 150 bucks

    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
