Yesterday when I was getting on the highway I was going about 50 and I got on it to get up to speed. It was WOT and about 4500 rpms or so that rpms just shot up to liek 6k and the truck didnt go anywhere.
Well thismorning on the way to work I got on it in second gear again and the same thing happend.
It shifts fine and is only doing this in 2nd at WOT.
Is it the tranny? or maybe stall?

Ya, sounds like the trans. If you haven't changed anything recently in the trans and it was running fine last week, it probably just needs a rebuild.
Get it early before it makes a mess in the trans.
I bet you can replace the band and clutches and it'll run for a while. Just make sure all the gunk is cleaned out.

I had my tranny flushed about 6 months ago. But other than that nothing has been changed to the tranny. I guess im not going to the track sunday as planned!

Fluid isnt really too dark to me. And it smells ok. But I did notice the tranny dipstick left black marks on my rag where I was wiping it off. Is that normal?

Mine does the same thing, but only under full throttle. 2nd gear slips. Allen is going to fix it though this weekend! FLT LEVEL5 80E all the way!

Trans has 97,xxx miles on it. 30xxx miles with cam and 40xxx miles with stall. About 200 passes at the track. I figured I was getting lucky with it. Its like a ticking time bomb.
