    1500 truck rears?

I have a 2004 1500. Its got an open diff out back and i want some double wheel action in its place. I remember going to the chevy dealership last year and talking to a sales rep. He was explaining to me that 2006 and up trucks came with 100 rpm locking diffs. Is this true or was the guy blowing smoke up my a**? If so I bet i could get a newer rear out of a yard alot cheaper than buying one of them truetracs. Someone HELP!

don't buy a factory G80. They are known to explode.
Buy a aftermarket posi unit - eaton posi, auburn, tru trac.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

The stock gove-lock won't engage when the rear wheel speed varies more than 100 RPM side to side regardless of year model 99+. They're made for mud and snow traction, not for dragstrip launches.
