I was wondering im gonna be putting a cam around the 220 range, headers, and a nelson tune. But I was wondering about the intake manafold. Which one is better. Im still gonna be towing some stuff just not a whole lot maybe once a month a car on a tralior maybe even less than that. And im am wondering on which manafold to buy. Used LS1 intakes are everywhere or I can get a LS6 manafold. Let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks

Also I was wondering I heard that ls1 f-body headers will fit the trucks. Will long tubes fit. Is this a mith or is it true.

I have been wondering about this myself...installing an LS6 MAF, manifold and throttle body.

I would think the ls6 intake has to be better since it's on the ls6, however the truck intake wouldn't fit on a vette, so who knows.

my dyno will be here in early june, i just got the word, i've always wanted to test which intake is better, i know i won't be the first to test it, but i'll post results and let everyone know the results.

all the external bolt ons will swap from the truck engines to the ls1, the only thing you have to worry about is clearance issues,

    good luck,

    allen

This was discussed on ls1tech also and someone accually took a truck manifold and cut the top off i have a truck intake and i am now going to go to a ls6 i think for my 409. i would love to have the LSX but i dont think i can afford it right now. gotta save for that stall and DP kit

the truck intake is better for low end. the ls6 intake is better for high rpms. my buddy had a 408 in a 01 chevy and he had both intakes he put the ls6 intake on and it helped alot he pulled hard top end.

So F-body long tubes will fit the trucks. And I know the LS6 intake is real good. What about the LS1. Should I even mess with that or just get the LS6.
